Ford Motor Company announced its collaboration with four Girl Scouts Councils in Tropical Florida, Northeast Texas Southeastern Michigan, and Northern New Jersey with a program that offers ways for elementary school students to explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) related fields.

The Girls’ Fast Track Races program will provide a hands-on experience in design and vehicle engineering to 200 Brownies and Juniors from each of their participating councils. Young girls are given the opportunity through this amazing program to learn more about automotive engineering and science by building their track race cars.

Tracy Magee, Ford’s Primary Brand Experiential Manager, notes “We believe that all young children have an aptitude for technical subjects – what’s often lacking is the encouragement and additional support to succeed. Ford is deeply committed to education and through creative programs such as the Girls’ Fast Track Races, we hope to spark excitement among the youth and inspire them to pursue future careers in high-tech fields.”
